It may seem easier at first since there's less options you have to mess with, but in the end it'll be less capable. One of the first things that become unstable when you overclock is the items on the PCI bus. Many simply cannot run much higher than 33 mhz. On the other hand, if you had a motherboard that allowed you to change the divider for the PCI bus, you could make it run at a slower speed to gain stability. For example, you may have a MB, CPU, and memory that can take a good amount of overclocking, but you might have a sound card that locks up the system once it exceeds 38 mhz.
